Privacy
This is a small site run by one person. It stores what it needs to teach you and nothing else.
What is stored
- Your name and email address, so you can sign in and be told about your access.
- Anything you choose to add to your own details: phone number, university, year of study, timezone.
- Your work: which lessons you have marked done, the answers you gave, your marks, and the professor’s feedback.
- A record of changes to your enrolment — when it was approved, extended or ended.
- Any notes you write on a lesson, and the lessons you bookmark. These are yours alone — see below.
- The date you last signed in.
What is not stored
- No password. Signing in works by a link sent to your email, so there is no password here to lose.
- No payment information of any kind. Payment is arranged separately and this system has no record of it — no card details, no amounts, no invoices.
- No advertising or analytics trackers, and nothing sold or shared with anyone.
Who can see it
Dr Atef Moussa Monir Abood can see your details, your work and your results. No other student can see anything of yours. The companies that run the site’s hosting, database and email delivery process this data on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for anything else.
The notes you write on a lesson are the exception: they are not shown to Dr Atef Moussa Monir Abood, and there is no page anywhere in the site that displays them to anyone but you. They are deleted, not anonymised, if your records are ever cleared.
Cookies
There is no cookie banner on this site because there is nothing to consent to. The only cookies here are the ones that make signing in work:
- A sign-in cookie, set when you follow your link, so that the next page knows it is you. Clearing it signs you out.
- A preference cookie used only by Dr Atef Moussa Monir Abood, which lets him look at the site as a student would while he is checking it.
There is no advertising cookie, no analytics cookie, and nothing that follows you to another site. Nothing here is shared with any third party for their own purposes.
Documents you download
PDFs are stamped with your name, your email address and the date, on every page. This is so that a copy which ends up somewhere it should not be can be traced. Please do not pass them on.
How long it is kept
Your work is kept so that you can look back at it, and so the professor can see how a topic is taught over time. After three years without signing in, personal details are removed and the remaining records are made anonymous — the answers stay, but they stop being about you.
Asking for your data, or its removal
Email Dr Atef Moussa Monir Abood and ask. You can have a copy of everything held about you, have mistakes corrected, or have your details removed. Removal ends your access, and results already released to you cannot be un-marked.
